Big Water Yurt lies within Mill Creek Canyon and is accessed by the Millcreek Ski Trail. Visitors have shorter approach options to Little Water and Big Water peaks, or progressively longer approaches to Soldier Peak and Gobbler’s Knob.

Please be advised that the Big Water Yurt will be unavailable for reservations during the 2025–2026 season due to road closures and construction activities in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as improvements are made to enhance future access and experiences.
This 20' diameter yurt provides a primitive winter camping experience for up to 8 people, featuring 2 sets of oversized bunk beds, a wood burning stove, furniture and other simple amenities. With no motorized vehicles allowed in the area, it offers comfortable shelter and solitude following a day of cross country skiing, snow shoeing or animal and bird watching. During the months of January and March, a maximum of 2 dogs may accompany you during your stay at the yurt. Dogs are not allowed in December, February or April.
Please contribute a trip report to share your experience for those who visit after you! This not only helps fellow riders, but it also helps hutkeepers ensure that the huts remain in good operating condition.
