Situated in a meadow deep in the Sawtooths, Fishhook Yurt provides access to standout Sawtooth peaks like Thompson Peak and Mount Heyburn. The nearby Profile Lake Basin offers ample terrain for day tours from mild to spicy.
Fishhook Hut sits at 6,800' in a beautiful meadow, next to a meandering creek, deep in the Sawtooth Mountains. From the meadow, the Sawtooth Giants rise above; Thompson Peak, Williams Peak, Mount Heyburn, and Horstman Peak which is framed by the kitchen window. Fishhook Hut consists of two separate structures: a Mongolian–style yurt and a unique wall tent connected together by a lodge pole pine framed walkway.
Please contribute a trip report to share your experience for those who visit after you! This not only helps fellow riders, but it also helps hutkeepers ensure that the huts remain in good operating condition.
