Lost Trail (6,256')

Lost Trail Lodge is a full-service backcountry lodge tucked into Coldstream Canyon just outside of Truckee, pairing access to the Pacific Crest with the comfort that makes group hut trips a lot less complicated. Open for reservations in both Summer/early Fall & Winter/early Spring.

Overview

Lost Trail is a full-service backcountry lodge tucked into Coldstream Canyon, just outside Truckee, CA, that offers a more comfortable backcountry stay than is typically expected with backcountry ski huts. The terrain surrounding Lost Trail in Coldstream Canyon is great for nearby, low-stress laps in wooded terrain as well as bigger alpine objectives toward the Crest for groups that want to push farther. In summer, Lost Trail flips into a 4x4 drive-in basecamp for trail running, hiking, biking, fishing, and a lodge experience far from the Tahoe circus at the lake.

When booking, guests can choose to book the whole lodge (up to 12 people) or half lodge (up to 6 people). Overall, the llodge has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms organized in the below layout:

East Wing:
- Bedroom 1: 1x queen, 2x twins, full bath
- Bedroom 2: 1x queen, 2x bath, full bath
- Hallway half-bath

- Bedroom 4: 1x king, 2x twins, full bath
